Religious Diversity and Respect.

Christianity and Islam preach from their various books that, more than one religion is capable of existing at the same time.  Due to this fact, both religions preach coexistence between members of different religions. The message of religious diversity can be seen from the perspective of both books below…

Bible

“They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hat spoken it. For all people will walk everyone in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. Micah 4:3-5
we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbade him, because he followeth not us. But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part. Mark 9:38-40
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31-32

Quran

Islam is a gender, racial, and religiously egalitarian religion. Islam and the Qur’an teach that all humans beings are equal in the sight of Allah. The Qur’an also teaches respect among each other. For this reason, the Qur’an mentions says:
“O mankind! We created you from a male and female, and made you into nations and tribes that you may know each other. Verily, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is he who is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is fully informed” [Qur’an 49:13]
The Qur’an also says;
“if they lord had so willed, He would have made mankind One People: but they will not cease to be diverse” [Qur’an 11:118]
“From among Allah’s signs are the creation of heaven and the earth and the difference of your tongues and the variation of your colors” [Qur’an 30:22]
